About the garment
An indo-western gown in blush pink chinon, sequinned throughout and cut with an asymmetric hem over a layered ruffle skirt — closer to red-carpet eveningwear than traditional Indian silhouettes, built for cocktail and reception dressing where a full or would be too much. The ruffle layering gives the skirt movement a flat gown cut wouldn't have.
The craft
The sequin work covers the gown's surface densely enough to catch light from any angle, worked into chinon for its lightness — a heavier fabric would have made the multiple ruffle layers too weighted to move properly. The asymmetric hemline is a cutting decision rather than an embellishment, giving the gown its directional, sculptural line.
