Hot Pink Mirror Work Bustier With Lehenga Drape
Hot pink is not a quiet choice and that is exactly the point
- Mirror Work
- Bandhani
About the garment
A hot pink indo-western gown built around a structured bustier, a pleated skirt, and an attached draped panel that creates the silhouette of a without the effort of one. The bustier is boned with mirror work across the surface — small circular mirrors set into the fabric. The attached drape falls from the waist over one shoulder. This is for a cocktail evening or a reception where you want to look like you know exactly what you're doing.
The craft
Hand-worked in Kutch — and are the two crafts this region does better than anywhere else. The bustier surface is embellished with the shisha technique — each mirror stitched in place with concentric rings of thread that hold it permanently. Hot pink is dyed before the mirrors are applied, ensuring the colour underneath each mirror reads consistently.

Styling notes
- Gold strappy heeled sandals — this gown needs the height
- Skip the necklace completely; the covers the décolletage already
- A thin gold bangle is all the hand jewellery needed
Care notes
- Dry clean only — the structured bustier with boning and mirror work cannot be hand-washed
- Store hanging on a padded hanger to maintain the bustier shape
