Rosewood Brown Embroidered Sharara Set With Dupatta
Rosewood brown is the colour that made you look twice at the page
- Resham
About the garment
A rosewood brown embroidered sharara set with — the warm, deep brown is unusual in festive Indian wear because most people default to jewel tones. That's exactly what makes it interesting. The embroidery runs along the hem and at the sharara's knee flare in floral patterns. The dupatta is in a lighter tone within the same brown family. The sharara is full-flared and falls to the floor.
The craft
Crafted in Jaipur with the block-printing and embroidery traditions of Rajasthan. The embroidery on this set uses warm gold and ivory resham thread — a deliberate pairing with the rosewood base that creates warmth rather than contrast. Jaipur embroidery workshops work with colour palettes submitted by the designer; this one has been specifically calibrated to the brown.

Styling notes
- Copper or antique gold heels — rosewood brown reads warmest with earthy metals
- Tiger's eye, carnelian, or amber earrings — warm stone colours work with this palette
- A minimal drape; this set's colour does the heavy lifting
Care notes
- Dry clean to protect the embroidery; rosewood brown can be difficult to match if the fabric fades unevenly
- Store in a breathable cotton bag; avoid direct sunlight storage which shifts warm brown tones
