About the garment

A pre-stitched in black chinon, built for the customer who wants the saree silhouette without the twenty minutes of draping — the is set, the pleats are sewn in, and the whole piece closes with a back elastic and side zip. The blouse carries the embroidery, in sequin and thread work, so the saree body stays clean and lets the blouse do the talking on entry.

The craft

Chinon is a lightweight synthetic-blend fabric that holds a pleat well without the structure — or the price — of silk, which is what makes a pre-stitched possible in the first place; natural silks don't take kindly to being pre-pleated and stored flat. The blouse is finished with embroidered sequins and thread work at the neckline and sleeve edge, catching light without needing full coverage.
